Description

Title: Lark’s Tongue In Aspic

Artist: King Crimson

Catalog: USA Atlantic SD 7263

Jacket: VG+ and ONLY for a small cut notch on the left lower spine area (see pic). Otherwise would be near mint. The original shrink wrap is still intact. It is quite rare to find a copy of this title without ring wear yet alone shrink wrap. The original custom inner sleeve is also included with NO splits on any of the three seams. The LP is housed in a separate inner sleeve to preserve the original.

LP: Visual near mint, spotless vinyl surfaces, looks as new. This is a beautiful looking copy. I played most of the first track on side one and it was very quiet. When the band kicked in, it rocked the walls!! This album is very well engineered and has the most undistorted distortion I’ve ever heard!! This is a Presswell pressing from a New Jersey plant.

Notes: After the experimental Lizard and Islands albums, King Crimson reforms yet again and gets back to near original form. Adding violinist David Cross and drummer Bill Bruford, who just had newly departed “Yes”, Jamie Muir as a separate percussionist, plus John Wetton on bass and vocals (later would front “Asia”) here is a block buster of an album that for myself, rivals that of Court Of The Crimson King”. Fantastic material and sound that made for a thrilling comeback in 1973!! This early 70’s era saw some of the most progressive albums of our time and this one is on the top of the picks!!
