King Crimson Islands LP SEALED PROMO NM

When dealing with a sealed promo LP, I would never be so gross as to guarantee that it is a white label promo.  However; for those of you who remember my selling a white label promo copy of King Crimson’s “Lizard” LP a few weeks back, I CAN tell you that this LP came from that same batch of promos I’d bought some 20 years ago.

Seal is 95 percent intact.  There is a small breach to the shrink at the top and bottom spine, exposing small areas of the album cover.  There is a bottom seam split, where the LP has popped through.  The split is about 3 inches long.  Bummer.  And in full disclosure, a few years ago, the left side of the orange promo sticker began to peel up, so out of fear that it might completely fall off, I discreetly glued it back down.  Gatefold has never been opened.

The green hype sticker is present, and it is in beautiful condition.  Most of these stickers tended to wear white over time.  Not this one.  I’ve never seen one this nice before.

For the second time in two weeks, I’ve had a very high bid cancelled on my auctions. A third buyer who won her auction told me she was going to withhold payment for two days while she decided whether she wanted the LP.  All of these LP’s were in the triple digits.

Please understand that on July 5th this year, I lost my job after 14 years. I’m selling off some prized possessions as a means of making ends meet, keeping my health insurance, looking for work and seeing if I can participate in Christmas this year. Having said that, from now on, if anyone places a bid and then cancels it for any amount, for any reason, they will automatically be blocked from future auctions immediately.

Why? If someone places a high bid and then retracts it, I lose watchers. And I don’t get those watchers back for the final day of bidding.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? eBay asks you to confirm your bid amount before you place your bid. So I don’t buy that you’ve entered the wrong amount. I have some very nice items from all artists, as well as rare and near mint Beatles LP’s coming up for sale in December, including a week’s worth of sealed early and first pressings. I don’t want to part with these, but I have to. Please hold up your end of the transaction.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
