DESCRIPTION: King Crimsons timeless masterpiece - In The Court of The Crimson King. Pink Rim pressing with matrix ending A/B and heavyweight sleeve. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Island ILPS 9111 YEAR OF RELEASE: Early 70s issue of 1969 original. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER):G+/G+. Vinyl is nice and clean with a decent sheen. Side 2 has 2 short (1cm) feelable hairlines. Played passages of this today on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds near to Very Good. Surface lines cause ticks only. No skips, jumps or sticks. Cover retains decent shape and firmness with heavy edgewear (2" split to top edge hence low grade) , corner wear and only light to moderate creasing. Inside of gatefold is clean. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears . PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER PROG/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
