Kim Fowley "I'm Bad"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Capitol 11025  from 1972.     This was his first album on Capitol records.    It's one of his best albums and it sounds great every time you play it.    His vocals sound just like Captain Beefheart's.    The backing group includes Mars Bonfire ( X-Steppenwolf), Warren Klein, Pete Sears ( future Jefferson Starship member), Dreahan Theaker, and Ben Benay.   

Kim Fowley wrote the liner notes.    He says he was the MC that introduced The Plastic Ono Band at Tononto in 1969.   And that he has written songs for The Byrds, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Leo Kottke, Daddy Cool,  Queen, Flash Cadillac & The Continental Kids, Sandy Rhodes, The Flaming Groovies, and The Sir Douglas Quintet.   Then he says he has played with Cat Stevens, Slade, Them, The Seeds, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Rose Garden, Manfred Mann, Cream, and The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band.     Also he says he has produced for The Soft Machine, Family, Them, Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi, A. B. Skhy, Danny Hutton, Michael Lloyd, Fleetwood Mac, and Richie Blackmore.     Add to that The Runnaways and St John Green.

This album was produced by Jeffery Cheen.    It was engineered by Dave Hassinger.     Kim Fowley wrote all of the songs.      One single was released off of this album : 'Forbidden Love/I'm Bad'.   

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is M-

The cover is VG+ with no writing and no seam splits.   There is light ring wear.     There is a promo punch hole at top right.   The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.    The labels have tiny check marks by some songs and no spindle marks.  The record comes in a custom lyric inner sleeve, which also has the punch hole.    There is  one stain on the inner sleeve.

The songs are : Queen Of Stars, Forbidden Love, Man Of God, Human Being Blues, I'm Bad, California Gypsy Man, I'ts Great To Be Alive, Red China, Gotta Get Close To You, and Let It Loose.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 5 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Brazil must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
