Kevin Andrew Johansen (Fairbanks, Alaska, June 21, 1964) is an Argentine singer born in the United States. It is characterized by a particular sound that mixes the popular music of his country and Latin America with alternative rock and American pop, fusing them in a style that the singer-songwriter himself has called "Des-Generado". Son of an Argentine mother and an American father, he was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1964, where he lived until he was 4 years old. The family later moved to Colorado, where they lived for a year. At the age of 5 Kevin, they briefly move to Arizona to finally at 6 live in San Francisco, California. When Johansen was twelve years old, he traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also lived in Montevideo, Uruguay at the age of 13 and 14, and it was there that he began to take his first steps in the world of music, learning to play the guitar. . He returned to Buenos Aires and lived there until 1990, when he moved to the American city of New York. In 2000 he returned to Buenos Aires, where he resides to this day.
