Description
When I was play-grading this record earlier today, I kept asking myself, "Do I really want to sell this?" Bananamour is so excellent, and it reminds me so much of my first months out of college, and listening to it again now - wow, did the memories ever flood back.
I don't know about now, but this record was NOT easy to find at all back in the day, especially the original issue with the textured cover. Although the imprinted label doesn't say anything about it being a promotional record, there is a 'Factory Sample Not For Sale' sticker applied on the label on Side 2 (see photo).
The cover is in superb condition, almost like new (see scans of front and back). Playback on both sides I grade an 'A-'. There's some light static at the end of Side 1, and a single pop in track 1 of Side 2. Other than that, this record plays very quietly. It will not disappoint a serious audiophile/collector.

A postscript about my music auctions. I am not a dealer. I am (or was) a private collector. The records I'm now offering on eBay are ones I acquired in the 1970s and early 1980s, and most have remained unplayed in the 30+ years since.
I put a lot of time and effort into my auction photos. I want to make sure they depict every record's true appearance; like they would look if you were actually holding them in your hands.
Re: grading. I have very high standards for both the physical condition of an album and its playback characteristics. I strive to use the most accurate language possible in my descriptions. If anything, I under-grade my records. For example, what's "very good" to me would be described by almost any other seller on eBay as "excellent."
I also take the greatest of care packing my records for shipment. I only use cardboard shipping boxes that are custom made for record albums. Additionally, I use cardboard inserts as stiffeners and bubble wrap inside the box for maximum protection. Rest assured: I will make certain that you receive your record in exactly the same condition as it is shown/described here.
