Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Kenny Dorham – Una Mas (One more time) – RARE Original MONO Vinyl LP album from 1963.
Original MONO pressing on Blue Note.
USA pressing
The run-out groove has “VAN GELDER” Stamped.
Also the run-out groove has the “Ear” etched.
Overall a super RARE original pressing and even rarer as its in MONO.
Vinyl Condition: G (Visually the record has a lot of light surface marks, light lines, scuffs and some light scratches and a lot of light hairline scratches. However these are nothing major and the record is pressed on lovely thick vinyl and the record really plays superbly. The sound is rich and clear. There is some crackle and the odd click/pop but nothing major and no sticks or jumps at all. This record really is a pleasure to listen to and plays way better than it looks. The labels have spindle wear and scratches from the spindle and some marks but are free of writing).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (New plain white inner sleeve. The original was lost).
Outer Sleeve Condition: Fair (As with many USA pressings the sleeve has a large split to top edge. It is split most of the way along. There are also stain/water marks to the back and some dirt and general signs of wear. Bottom right corner has visible wear and is slightly split. There is also a slight streak of what looks like white paint near Kenny’s face on the front. Overall the sleeve is looking its age but is acceptable).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
