Description
Here is an interesting record of public service announcements, "Radio Rebus", featuring the great voice of spoken word jazz artist Ken Nordine, from earlier in his career. These were produced by U.S. Army Recruiting Service. Radio Rebus is described on the back cover as "sounds are used instead of pictures." The jingles in hese spots are by Scott-Textor. Side 1 offers four bands: Bands 1 and 2 Identical, Haunted Future; Bands 3 and 4 Identical, World on Fire. Side 2 offers Bands 1 and 2 Identical, That Hunted Feeling; and Bands 3 and 4 Identical, Lady Luck. You do need to advance the needle manually from one track to the next. Notation is made on each side that these were not to be used after June 1962. The record is 33 rpm Microgroove, and the vinyl and sleeve are both in very good condition. Email any questions!
