Kate Bush - The Dreaming 12" Vinyl TEST PRESSING
Test Pressing - EMC 3419 / 1982
Please note these are single sided pressings. Each side of the record has it's own disc with a playable side and a blank reverse. The reverse sides have a groove with a continuous tone.
These single pressings are beyond rare and would have been pressed in a set of about 4 or 5, then likely pressed again in a double pressing onto a single disc for approval before volume production.
I have listened to it only to verify the album and have no opinion as to whether it is of an improved sonic quality when compared to a standard pressing. There's a bit of dust as you would expect on a 40 year old record, but other than this, the appearance of the playable sides suggest that outside of being listened to in 1982, they have been played little or at all. The smoother B sides with their simple tone groove have some minor marks that suggest they may have been placed on a turntable at some point. With this in mind, I would rate the playable sides as VG+ to Near Mint. Supplied with the original lined, paper sleeves and an original jacket as shown in the images.
