Description
Here is an original Chris Bellman cut 2005 EU pressing of Kate Bush's "Aerial"! Released by EMI on double heavyweight vinyl housed in a stickered gatefold and accompanied by a huge booklet!
Unfortunately this original pressing is not without its problems and visual grading definitely won't do. So I just listened to the whole four sides in order to grade this copy as accurate as I can!
The sleeve: I would describe it as Near Mint if it wasn't for two flaws: A seamsplit in it's ultra early stages on one of the lower edges. Barely noticeable. And then - more severe - a bend corner resulting in a small tear, see picture number nine! Very Good ++
The booklet: Has the same lower right corner bend as the othersleeve but that's about it: Very Good++
The vinyl: Visually fine, the first record isn't entirely flat but too flat to be called wavy. Sonically, there's zero distortion present, all four sides play crystal clear, even during the loud parts of "Nocturn". This James Guthrie mastered and Chris Bellman cut - "CB" on all four sides - original has a real presence. Then there's the surface noise. Since the record is visually fine probably an ultrasonic cleaning might help? As it is, parts of this copy play death silent while other parts have light surface noise. Sonically this is occasionally NM, sometimes VG and most of the time VG+(+).
Oh.. . and unlike the remaster it has Rolf Harris as "The Painter" and on didgeridoo.
