Rare German only box-set issued by the ZDF, a German public television-station.

The ZDF produced several live broadcasts during the 80's (so-called "Festkonzerte") of which some found their way to record. Included in this box are 3 albums (one single, two double LPs) that were originally all issued singularily. All are live recordings that were exclusively issued in Germany.

As a box-set this was only presented to politicians and artists, it was thus never officially for sale. This is actually extremely hard to come by, I guess that there's only a couple of hundred copies existing.

Included are:

• Karajan conducts the BPO on occasion of the 750-year celebration of the city of Berlin.  Broadcasted live from Berlin on May, 1st 1987

• Horowitz-Recital in Moskau, Pavarotti-Recital in Munich, Jochum conducts the Bamberg Symphonic on Mozart's Haffner. Live-Recordings from 1986, 2LP-Set.

• European Year of Music 1985, Music by Bach and Handel. Live Recordings of the Academy of St.Martins in the Fields, Josef Suk and Zusanna Ruzickova, Marie-Claire Alain, Bach Collegium, Stuttgart conducted by Helmuth Rilling, and others. 2LP-set

• Condition Box: NM. Minimal storage wear.

• Condition Covers: MINT. Amazing. Laminated sleeves that have never seen the light. Just absolutely like coming directly from the factory!
  

• Condition Vinyls: MINT. Definitely unplayed. Just marvelous!
