When it comes to swedish punk, few records are more in-demand and harder to find than this legendary 7" by Kriminella Gitarrer. Only pressed in 500 copies. This is regarded as the first punk record to be released in Sweden (it's from early 1978, the band broke up in mid-1978). Both sides are superb, ultra raw, sloppy and gritty trailblazing punk. Have a listen to this if you don't know it! This record very seldom turns up for sale and this one is in absolutely JAWDROPPING M- condition.

What few people know however is that the sleeve to this 7" exists in two different variants. There is the "regular" sleeve (which can be found on most copies), it's an unglued fold-over sleeve with full size front and back. Then there is the alternate sleeve variant which is up for grabs here which was made by the group members while they were waiting for the regular sleeve to arrive from the printing company. This alternate sleeve is also a fold-over sleeve, but has only got a 2/3 size back (see picture). This alternate sleeve has got slightly rougher print quality and is not as "polished" as the regular sleeve that came from the printing company. On the alternate sleeve the edges of the press-clippings on the front can clearly be seen. The later sleeve, made by the printing company, has been "tidied up". Also the group name is missing from the back of the alternate sleeve.

...you can find side-by-side comparisons of the alternate FIRST variant sleeve vs. the SECOND "regular" printing company variant sleeve. As you can see, the FIRST variant has got more detail on the front and an overall cruder look to the photo reproduction on the front etc. I have never seen this alternate sleeve variant up for grabs. Apparently, only a very limted amount were made, and used for the first few copies of this 7" that were sold to friends and family. 

"Vardad Kladsel" was listed at position #9 in Johan Kugelberg's legendary "The 100 Best Worldwide Punk 45s" list in the Ugly Things magazine (#17). He gave it the highest rating and wrote: "The proudest moment of swedish primeval teen thuggery."  It's difficult to not agree with that!
