KRACQ - CIRCUMVISION - PROG / SYMPHONIC / ART ROCK - NEW

Even from the cover, one would expect that we would be dealing with some magical lo-fi obfuscation. What dust-covered demos are to metal, what Kracq is to prog!
They start with an overload of percussion and moog, which progresses to an unholy groove and further dark excursions into the realm of faded strangeness. The distinctive "Day in Day Out" dreams me to sleep at night with its "horror soundtrack" style and psychedelic excursion. The third track is another imagination-stirring instrumental story (it's a must hear). "Y" reaches heights in complexity and variety. Next we have a collage of some strange concepts divided by noise. "Put Up the Organized Fight" returns to the tracks of a "song" with vocals. "To a Aquare" has a stuttering, somewhat mystical feel. "Partnership" is melancholy. "Keep Control of What I Am" bids us farewell with a sombre theme and a step towards doom - the mentioned associations with VDGG are even stronger.
In summary: extremely creative, somewhat dark prog led mainly by keyboards: moog, electric and normal piano, additional effects + complex percussion.
One might think that this band is like some dark mutated version of Finch or the much less bombastic Trace - not to look far. As for a similar smothered sound, French Archaia, Arachnoid and Ocarinah, Swedish Autumn Breeze, Swiss Island have a similarly cellar-like sound.
