Decca SXL 2087-90 ED1 WBGr 'Original Recording By' - Kleiber - Mozart - Le Nozze di Figaro
Cover: VG++; This is the black box with the text in gold on the back seam. The top cover seams are unfortunately split all 4, however easy to repair in a very decent way. But this is the only major defect of this precious set. Cover artwork is immaculate, back seam text equally complete. Apart from the 4 seams some light wear on the back cover of the box
The libretto - SXL 2087/90 only issue - is in great shape though the previous owner placed with red pencil some small signs in the text. He also indicated the various record sides in the text book with a red pencil. Otherwise NM-
Vinyl: NM, and I mean truely near mint for all sides except side 5. Side 5 bears a 1 inch thin mark which sounds very lightly, and only on concentrated listning for a couple of revolutions, never overcoming the music itself. I would rate this specific part of the set VG++. The labels are so clean that I can comfortably state that this set can't have been played more than a few times. Play grading it with my V/d Hull cartridge was a sheer delight. It will be hard to find a better sonic copy of this precious set.
