KISS "Live In Boston 12/2/1984" Radio Broadcast - King Biscuit Hour
The ultimate in bad taste, KISS took some time to achieve any kind of credibility with the critics although in the '70's they gradually blasted their way through. With a policy of constant gigging and massive publicity, their albums began to sell steadily. Their elaborate make-up, peculiar outfits and glittering platform shoes made the band a virtual laughing stock at the time of the up-and-coming punk and new wave movement in Britain but the heavy metal legions grew at the tail-end of punk, KISS could claim to be one of the most successful heavy rock bands of all time. Their fourth album Alive! went platinum in 1975.
