I was fortunate enough to recently receive hundreds of unsold KISS albums in boxes that had sat in Polygram Records' warehouse and i will be listing them a few at a time. most of these LPs are beautiful...some are error copies. some are in amazing shape, and some are in good shape. i will indicate the condition of each LP. one of the great things about these LPs is that a lot of them never made it into the stores, so theres no price tags or shelf wear. when it comes to American KISS releases and pressings, i am an expert so feel free to ask anything. bidders with less than 20 feedback please contact me first, otherwise your bids will be cancelled because of previous bad experiences.

KISS "LICK IT UP" ....with the failure of the 3 most recent KISS albums, PolyGram was less than prepared for what KISS without make-up could accomplish. Mercury/PolyGram were pretty sure this was to be their swansong LP for the label, and they were almost dropped after Creatures of the Night seemed to solidify the band as hasbeens selling only 250,000 copies by 1983. Lick It Up had a slow start, but by the beginning of 1984 it had already moved over 700,000 copies, and had achieved platinum status with 1,000,000 shipped. because of the lack of faith, the album was initially printed in limited quantities. the first issue was a flat cover, with a dull paper lyric sleeve...while the 2nd and better pressing was a glossy cover with a glossier lyric sleeve. because the album was printed in line with its demand, it was never cut for bargain bins and is one of the only KISS albums to not be overpressed. this is the superior glossy press. perfect!
