Description

KINKS : VILLAGE PRESERVATION SOCIETY 1968 PYE MONO 1ST.

The Kinks are the Village Presentation Society, original 1968 UK Pye mono 1st pressing catalogue no. NPL 18233 blue/black label.   This became one of the most influential British Rock recordings of the period; the album has frequently been re-issued, but very few of the first pressings actually sold, so it’s rare to find an original vinyl.  It also includes the Kinks sole dalliance with psychedelia.

Overall the record is clean & shiny and in VERY GOOD condition but there are several light marks, nothing drastic, which could produce minor distortion.  Gatefold laminated sleeve is overall excellent but has a small tear on rear cover.

Tracks are: (Side 1) The Village Green Preservation Society, Do You Remember Walter, Picture Book, Johnny Thunder, Last of The Steam-Powered Trains, Big Sky, Sitting By The Riverside; (Side 2) Animal farm, Village Green, Starstruck, Phenomenal Cat, All Of My friends Were There, Wicked Annabella, Monica, People Take Pictures Of Each Other.
