3ChordRecords is offering for sale an Excellent 1966 UK First Press LP by The Kinks "Face to Face" on Pye Records.
Cat No. NPL 18149
The LP is pressed on extra thick black vinyl and is in VG+ condition, the record retains much of its original sheen, however there are a number of light scratches on both sides, on playback these light scratches occassionally cause very light crackle but there is no significant surface noise and the tracks come through loud and rich, transporting you straight back to the mid 60's. Matrix numbers are A2:B1 confirming this as a first pressing. The Pink pye labels have significant spidering and light wear. The record comes in a plain white paper inner sleeve. The laminated G&L flipback sleeve is in Excellent- condition. The laminate is intact with no lift, the pinched spine is STUNNING and there is no wear along the edges apart from the top right hand corner where there are 3 small laminate lifts and minor discolouration, the same corner has a small 2-3mm split on the seam. There is light wear in the bottom right hand corner and the opening edges have light feathering. The rear flipbacks are Stunning, they are clean and tight with no creasing or lift, there is some discolouration on the white rear but generally this is great back to the sleeve. There are no tears.
Overall an Excellent first pressing of this hard to find original 60's Kinks LP. Bid with confidence.
