Description
Like most labels, Atlantic Records sent out promotional copies of their records to radio stations. A very small percentage of those albums were monaural pressings, now coveted by collectors and music fans alike. Mono commercial issues of most albums (at least those recorded in stereo) were phased out by 1968, and now these promo-only monaural versions are even harder to find.
Original promo-only mono pressing of King Crimson's Lizard album. This is a white label issue on Atlantic 8278.
White label record has some light marks but plays near-mint.
Gatefold cover is a stock stereo one with 3 stickers: one listing the artist/title and all tracks, another listing suggested cuts for airplay and a third noting it's monaural. Cover is VG+ with some overall wear and areas of loose clear laminate on the back.
