King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King

Island ILPS 9111

UK Pink Island original pressing of their 1969 debut album. This copy's matrices are A//3 and B//4 - this appears to be easily the rarest of the multiple pink Island pressing matrix combinations. More importantly though, this copy is in great condition!

Record Condition (visual): EX Great looking copy with a beautiful shine and only a few light, superficial scuffs on the surfaces. Both labels are clean and also look terrific.

Record Condition (sound): EX  Great sound quality throughout, loud and clear with only some slight underlying surface noise detectable in a few isolated spots. Even 'Moonchild' plays very clean.

Cover Condition: EX  This notoriously fragile Ernest J. Day gatefold cover is one of the better survivng examples you'll see. Front, back and inner all look superb with barely any rubbing wear or deterioration of the soft, waxy surface. The spine is usually the first part of this cover to suffer, but this one is fantastic with no discolouration or splits. The top and bottom seams have some light surface rubbing, but again no splits.
