Kicks – Return of the Action Man 7” (orig. Australia “Shake Music” STEREO SM-07 / 13248)
Release date: December 1981.
On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original issue of the only independently released 7” single by Brisbane-based band, KICKS. There is a strong BAUHAUS influence on these recordings. This particular disc was obtained from ROD McLEOD himself in 1998 and comes inside a plain white sleeve.
Members of KICKS also appeared in the following BRISBANE PUNK BANDS: JUST URBAIN, YOUNG IDENTITIES, BODYSNATCHERS, KICKS, SECTION URBANE and THE PINEAPPLES FROM THE DAWN OF TIME.

visual: G+ retains excellent lustre despite numerous hairlines, surface scuffs & one scratch across first half of “Return of the Action Man”. Quite scuffed overall—seen under strong light.
audible: VG- PUNCHY and VIBRANT SOUND despite some underlying surface noise/crackle/occasional light pops. DEFINITELY NO JUMPS or SKIPS – played from beginning to end.
labels: heavy spindle wear & 2 x surface tears near inner rim (side 1), moderate spindle wear (side 2).
