AUTOGRAPHED ORIGINAL !
For collectors of Texas garage bands, this Lp ranks right up there at the top – it is indeed a very rare item. Check on PopSike and you'll find that this changes hands very infrequently. Well, here's your opportunity to get the latest to go on the block. This ORIGINAL PRESSING was turned up a few weeks ago in the shadow of Bryan Adams High School. That's where Kenny & The Kasuals called home.
They were quite the popular garage band in 1965 Dallas, and were regulars down at the Apartment Club, and later the Studio Club, where this 'live' album was supposedly recorded. The set here as a sort of raucous Dave Clark Five-meets-the Stones combo, and by 1967 the Kasuals progressed to acid punk with their most popular local hit, "Journey to Tyme." On this set the band are all 18 to 19 years old. Only 500 of these were pressed and that's why they're so rare today. I can only find that four of these have come across eBay in the last four years, but NONE of them were autographed !

As you can see, the back panel of the Lp was signed in 1966 (in felt tip pen) by all five of the guys in the band – as well as their Public Relations guy. This consignment item came from a classmate of the band and it was purchased, and signed, at one of their gigs at the Studio Club in Dallas.
THIS IS REAL : HOW TO SPOT A REISSUE
This album was commanding such high prices among garage band collectors that it was reissued in 1977. It's pretty easy to spot the reissues. There is a line of text saying it's a reissue below the picture on the back of the jacket. The line of type running vertically on the right side of the jacket is down the spine of the reissue. The faces on the front cover, which are in grey halftone screens, are high contrast black on the reissue, and finally, the reissue appears to be one continuous track, while the originals have songs banded apart, like a normal Lp. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PRESSING

CONDITION: RECORD is VG
JACKET – is VG+ but has both the top and bottom seams totally split. This could have been from where the previous owner had it displayed unfolded as in the photo. I’ve not repaired these seams so you can display it like this as well if you choose. This is Mark Records LP 5000.
