RECORD CONDITION: SIDE ONE IS VG++/VG+. OCCASIONAL VERY MINOR POP IN EARLY PART OF FIRST SECOND CUTS. THEN EXCELLENT FOR REST OF SIDE.  SIDE TWO IS VG++. VERY MINOR SCRATCHES ON THIS SIDE, THAT DO NOT AFFECT PLAYBACK. BEAUTIFUL BLUE NOTE MONO SOUND. EXCELLENT LABELS. COVER IS VG+. ALL CORNERS AND SEAMS AND OUTER SEAM INTACT. SOME MINOR WEAR ON SEAMS. MINOR WRITING ON BACK SIDE (SEE PHOTO). TOP RIGHT CORNER DARKED WITH BLACK MARKER FOR ONE INCH BY PREVIOUS OWNER. NOTHING UGLY (SEE PHOTO).  EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR A 45 YEAR-PLUS ALBUM COVER. THIS WOULD BE OTHER DEALERS NM OR NM-, BUT I AM VERY CAREFUL ABOUT MY GRADING. PLAY GRADED AND LISTED CONSERVATIVELY. RECORD CLEANED USING A 16.5 VPI MACHINE.

Whistle Stop features seven of his compositions, none of which have been picked up by any of the "Young Lions" of the '90s despite their high quality and many fresh melodies. Dorham teams up with tenor-saxophonist Hank Mobley (who he had recorded with previously along with Art Blakey and Max Roach), pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Philly Joe Jones for a set of lively, fresh, and consistently swinging music. This is a generally overlooked near-classic set.”

GRADING: Sealed LP’s are noted in their description. I grade by both visual inspection and play. Mint is not used. Near Mint is my highest grade and should play problem free; VG++ should play problem free or with noted shortcomings noted in write-up.  VG+ is listed with any shortcomings noted in write-up. My description will be accurate. All items guaranteed, but I do not refund shipping costs.

FREQUENTCY OF SHIPPING: I do try and ship as quickly as I can, but sometimes it can take a week or so to send items out, depending on how many orders I have. Note that media mail can take three weeks from when I receive payment.
