Description
Bluesville 1050, “Big Road Blues” with K.C. Douglas, from 1962. Original DG vinyl plays at about VG+ with light static throughout the sides. Whether this is from the pressing or the cartridge is unclear, but the music comes through well. Jacket has heavy wear on seams, a partial split on the top seam, and ringwear on the front (see scan). Jacket back is somewhat soiled with pen markings at upper left. Songs are “Big Road Blues”, “Howling Blues”, “Move to Kansas City”, “Buck Dance”, “Tore Your Playhouse Down”, “Bottle Up and Go”, “Whiskey-Headed Woman”, “Catfish Blues”, “K.C.’s Blues”, “Canned Heat”, and “Key to the Highway”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $11.75 extra. (Two years ago, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
