Description

Audition Radio show transcription disc produced by World Program Service.  Two complete approximately 12 minute audition radio programs on this 16 inch, red vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was issued to potential radio show sponsors and not available to the general public, very rare!

"The Songs of Our Times" audition radio show.  This is a nostalgic program featuring songs of the year 1928, and some events of 1928 are mentioned as well.  Songs are by Bob Grant & His Orchestra with vocals by Art Gentry & Kay Penton.  The program includes 4 medleys: 1. "Sonny Boy / Angela Mia (vocal Art Gentry) / Where The Shy Little Violets Grow"   2. "Carolina Moon / Jeannine (vocal Art Gentry) / Chiquita"  3. "Diga Diga Doo / I Can't Give You Anything But Love Baby (vocal Kay Penton) / I Ain't Got Nobody"   4. "Let's Do It / Sweethearts On Parade (vocal Art Gentry) / You Took Advantage Of Me.  Announcer is Ed Herlihy.  "Audition" is not printed on this side of the disc, however the announcer mentions "Your Sponsor Presents Songs Of Our Times", which would suggest an audition program

"The Bob Eberly Show" audition radio program starring Bob Eberly, Monica Lewis, The John Gart Threesome.  There may also be an unidentified orchestra.  Songs include "Lavender Blue (Dily Dily) vocal Bob Eberly, "I've Told Every Little Star" John Gart Threesome, "My Darling My Darling" vocal Monica Lewis, "Until" vocal Bob Eberly

Disc is in Excellent- condition with Excellent sound, beautiful disc with beautiful sound
