Vintage copy of the 1979 Canadian-only version of Kate's On Stage EP that consists of a 4-track 7" vinyl record placed in a 7"gatefold sleeve then mounted in a 12" die-cut outer cover for placement in LP stacks at stores. These outer sleeves were meant to be temporary holders for the item and were made out of very thin cardboard and easily damaged. As such, finding the complete item is quite rare.
This particular copy is in remarkably good condition. The vinyl has long since been stored outside both sleeves to prevent damage. The disc remains in MINT condition. Still glossy. No scratches. No wear or damage of any kind. The 7" gatefold sleeve is NEAR MINT. Only very minor damage from handling. No dents, marks, tears, splits or fading. Spine is still strong.
The outer 12" cover is that only component that does show some definite damage however remains in better shape that most others I have come across. Several of the inside corners have tears (the top two in the front and two at the bottom in the back) though the inner gatefold sleeve is still kept solidly in place. There is also some wear along the edges and in the corners but nothing too dramatic. The spine is still good. Some minor scuffing but it only shows at an angle under bright light. The color is still strong and the surface is clean.
