Description

Kannibal Komix / Die Anderen LP Released in Germany in 1968 under the band name Die Anderen and two years later in the US as Kannibal Komix, this Giorgio Moroder-produced LP is a fantastic display of the sort of sounds that made the late 60s such an exciting time. From the outstanding fuzz-laden nugget ‘Neurotic Reaction’ to wonderfully arranged torch songs and psych pop delights, the album’s top quality recalls the work of The Bee Gees during the same period. Original German pressing on the Ariola label from 1968. The sleeve is in VG- condition, it has moisture staining on the bottom and a part of the 3 fold-out gatefold sleeve is missing. The record is in EX condition.

[isdntekvideo] A German band, Kannibal Komix included an italian member (Jurgen Drews, Gerd Muller and Bernd Scheffler were German, bass player Enrico Lombardi was from Piacenza), and had some notoriety following an appearance in german and english TV shows. Their Lp Kannibal Komix was released in 1968 in Germany, and later chosen by the US filmmaker George Moorse as soundtrack for his film "The House In White". The Lp was hence issued in the USA on Colossus in 1970 and in Italy by Saint Martin in 1971 with a single cover.Housed in a distinctive cover (with a nude woman riding a horse), the Lp is influenced by a late 60's UK psych/pop style.
