     HERE you will often FIND offered BETTER CONDITION RECORDS than many other

(visually graded only) sources offer, WHICH ARE FREQUENTLY TOP COPIES & VIRTUALLY new or LIKE-NEW

and unplayed or played very few times, AND/OR THE BEST COPIES POSSIBLE of many choice records.

Purchased: Used. Original UK EXTREMELY RARE progressive psych. classic 2nd LP from 1969 so about 42 years old. Tracks 2 & 3 on both sides play virtually Mint with no problems and no noise or distortion. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE that this copy was/is a factory mis-print that somehow eluded their quality control. If it was a coin it would be a mis-strike with a mis-shapen rim or edge as well as an uneven warped surface almost opposite that section where the rims not intact, and it would have extremely high collectible value as a true oddity/rarity. As a record however it cannot be fully played due to its abnormality so be forewarned in that regard because under no circumstances will I accept returns of it or issue any refund. As can be seen from the pictures the rim of the record is incomplete in one area. It appears though that it can still be played and that section DOES play on my turntable on side 1 but with a loud swoosh or lisp from the unusual warp for each revolution until it gets further into the first track. However such is NOT the case on my turntable on the first 1/4 inch or so of side 2. Not quite opposite the missing part of the rim about 1/3 of the way around the circumference to the opposite side there is another abnormality/anomaly to the vinyl that's less visually apparent on side two than side one which causes a violent lateral shift to the needle for each revolution until once again it gets further into the first track. Consequently until about 1/4 inch in it causes the needle to skip from the sudden/abrupt lateral stress it incurs trying to navigate the grooves. After that it does track fine but the swoosh/noise remains each revolution for a while longer. So, if you're looking for a fully playable LP this isn't one and I'd advise you to look elsewhere! However if you want an oddity that never should have been allowed to leave the pressing plant, much less get into circulation then this fits the bill. Bid accordingly for what this is as it's value is spurious at best!

Label/# + Year of release/Date of pressing: ORIGINAL UK BIRTH RAB 2/1969.

Cover condition: Fully textured front is VG+ with significant edge/corner wear & some ringwear top and bottom whereas rear has somewhat more ringwear and some minor creases.

Spine: Almost all fully legible/intact EX- but some rub-off with the top of offset RAB 2 gone & parts of Birth gone at bottom. 

Inner sleeve: EX original white paper with bottom split in middle 1 1/2 inches & 1 large vertical crease.

Record condition: Playing surface appears EX+ to NM with some minor hairlines and a crease-like mark about 3 inches long arcing/curving into the playing area about 3/4 inch wide in the middle/widest point of its arc. This creates a whoosh sound each revolution on side 1. On side 2 this crease mark is much less visually apparent and almost imperceptible however it affects the trackability of track B2 which skips on my turntable until it's about 1/4 inch into the track. MY PRESERVATION POLICY on many records that I revered was simple and I share it with you now so that you understand why you take virtually no risk buying from me providing the album was bought new and not used originally. When I'd buy a "new" album and it was something I liked a lot and still available (most of my new albums were purchased in the early-mid 1970's!) I'd initially play it between 15-25 times to become familiar with it and then sell it to a friend as a still EX+ well preserved nice copy. (Adding outer & inner plastic sleeves was standard procedure additionally limiting cover wear and/or hairline paper sleeve marks.) Then I'd buy another new copy and in some cases if a particular favorite then yet another, meaning that I only played the 2nd copy (now my 1st) 5-10 times and the 3rd (now my 2nd if I kept 2) once or twice, always initially taping or now in more recent years currently burning to disc 1 copy within the first couple of  plays thus significantly limiting play to this day on most of my lps. I did/do this with many single copy rarities as well so most play was/is on tapes or cd-rs. I bought a lot of CDs of favorite things also which further helped preserve my vinyl and limit play of much of it. Sometimes I also acquired rare British and European vinyl which I never saw imported in stores and sold new in the United States or Canada from contacts I established through mail correspondence during the 1970's. I developed contacts in England, France, Germany, Holland & Norway. Be aware that the MAJORITY of albums or occasionally 45's that I list ARE FREQUENTLY my ONLY COPIES so bid accordingly as you'll not likely see most of them listed by me again.
