FACTORY RECORDS FACT 10
From my own private collection and purchased by me from Rough Trade Records in Notting Hill Gate in early 1980.
1st Press Factory did not start using the ‘ruby red’ translucent vinyl until 1980 and therefore the black vinyl is the original and not the ‘Ruby Red’ I know this to be fact having worked as legal advisors to Factory Records.
The Lp has been stored in a sealed aluminium record box for 25 years and hasn’t been played since 1982.
This amazing album is in very good condition indeed.
A few hair line marks with just 1 or 2 very tiny feint lines visible when held under artificial light.
The MINT labels show NO visible spindle marks, and have no damage to or around the spindle holes at all. The labels are beautifully clean and have no writing or marks.
The original printed inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with NO rips,splits or tears.Has some age related spotting...see pictures
The Garrod & Lofthouse fully textured sleeve is in EXCELLENT++ condition. No rips, splits or tears. Perfect spine with no crushing. Perfect opening edges with no fraying. No handling marks. With NO rubbing along the top and bottom edges. Really nothing bad at all.Just the slightest hint of a wear mark to the front and reverse....see pictures.Incredible condition for a record of 40 years old.!!
Only the first 10,000 copies only were issued in the fully textured sleeve!!
The matrix numbers are FACT-10 - OUTSIDE I B - THIS IS THE WAY A PORKY PRIME CUT FACT 10 - INSIDE ! A A PORKY PRIME CUT - STEP
