Description
An original Joy Division vinyl LP record of "Unknown Pleasures" released in 1979 on Factory Records. This record is the Porky Prime version, the original release. This was the first pressing of the vinyl, a run of 10,000 copies. This can be identified by the textured cardboard finish, the 'Printed and made in Great Britain by Gerard and Lofthouse Ltd, the rounded corners on the inner sleeve and the unique etchings in the runouts on each side: Fact 10 - Outside 1 - a porky prime cut - This Is The Way Fact 10 - Outside 1 - a porky prime cut - Step This is the original and most desirable version of the record. This particular version is a great example:Outer sleeve - Very Good. For a 45 year old matt black record with a black, textured finish it is in good shape and only features a disc outline and some very faint minor marks. There is slight rounding of the corners. The spine is intact and fully legible. Inner sleeve - Very Good. Still rigid, no creases, some slight yellowing of the outer edges and corners. Record - Very Good to Excellent This record has not been played for 20 years due to having the CD and is ready to give a new owner a lot of joy. I have a number of other Factory releases and would be happy to combine postage on additional purchases.
