Description

Joy Division – Licht Und Blindheit / Sordide Sentimental, original French 7”, #501

Catalogue number: SS 33 002

This is an original and genuine copy of the rarest Joy Division item, bought by us as part of a collection from a fan.

Only 1578 copies were pressed. This is number 501.

Full details here: http://www.joydiv.org/S5.htm

Original first pressing vinyl wax and label is black with silver writings with 2 inserts. Plays at 33rpm.

The foldout cover is numbered and the 2 inserts are a blue piece of paper which reads "Avertissement" and "Gesamtkunstwerk" plus an English translation. Matrix number SS 33002. Brown background image - two faces.

The 2 inserts and vinyl are in near mint condition. The vinyl plays as near mint, and appears unused.

The outer sleeve has slight rubs to the bottom edge, a slight crease/fold mark in the bottom left corner, and does not lie quite flat, as if it got wet and then dried out. The colours are strong and the textured surfaces are not rubbed. Visually it is in VG+/EX- condition.

This item is offered with a money back guarantee, please see below.

    UK Record Collector Grading System:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
