Reissue from a newly cut master. First released in 1978.Released exclusively for Record Store Day 2014 on the 19th April 2014 in two pressing variants: this US pressing and a different EU pressing, that has the same barcode but different matrix runout numbers and only one catalog number.
Grey hype sticker on front cover: "Joy Division An Ideal For Living Exclusive release for Record Store Day 2014 R1 542318". This US pressing (only) has a second grey sticker on front cover: "Record Store Day Exclusive".
Catalog number "R1 542318" appears on the spine, rear of the jacket and the first front cover hype sticker; catalog number "JDPM11" appears on the record labels.
Total worldwide pressing volume confirmed as 13,500, with confirmed release quantities of 7,500 in the US and 1,500 in the UK, leaving 4,500 RoW.
Actual US vs EU pressing quantities (totaling 13,500) currently unconfirmed. Both pressing variants confirmed as sold simultaneously on release day in RSD supporting record stores in New Zealand and Australia, meaning actual US pressing number may be higher than 7,500.
This US pressing confirmed as the main variant sold on release day in RSD supporting record stores in the United States, however EU pressings also confirmed as imported and sold on release day in some US based RSD supporting record stores with a different second silver import sticker replacing the RSD exclusive sticker (see EU pressing images).
US promo release copies also confirmed: copies released sealed in shrinkwrap with no front cover hype stickers for either the release name (normally lower left) nor Record Store Day (normally lower right), with the rear cover barcode struck through with marker pen UNDER the shrinkwrap. (see images).
Country field left black to best reflect this as a worldwide release.

.Grading/Condition Descriptions (unless otherwise noted, grading is by visual inspection):
MT = Mint. Perfect and in sealed, original shrink-wrap/packaging. Please Note - As the LP is still sealed, it is presumed to be in Mint condition.
NM = Near Mint. As close to perfect as you can get, no visible scuffs/scratches. Played only a couple times, at most.
EX = Excellent. Vinyl has only a couple minor surface scuffs, but certainly no scratches. Label has very slight evidence of wear, no writing and sharp coloring. Jacket has no seam splits, no creases, very minor chipping at edges/corners, very minor ring-wear, no writing.
VG+ = Very Good+. Vinyl has a few surface scuffs and/or very minor scratches (but no ?feeler? scratches). Label shows some evidence of wear, no writing. Jacket has no seam splits, but has 1-2 small hairline creases and/or minor chipping at edges or bumped corners, possibly a cut-out, some ring-wear, no writing.
VG = Very Good. Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs and/or very minor scratches (but no ?feeler? scratches). Label shows some evidence of wear, no writing. Jacket has no seam splits, but has a few hairline creases and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners, moderate ring-wear, no writing.
VG- = Very Good-. Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs and minor scratches (but no ?feeler? scratches). Label shows evidence of wear and/or has small amount of writing. Jacket has small seam split (less than 2? long) or has numerous small creases and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners or small amount of writing, moderate ring-wear.
G = Good. Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs/scratches and probably a ?feeler? scratch (as noted in listing). Label shows a lot of wear and/or some writing. Jacket has seam split (less than 6? long) or numerous moderate creases and/or major chipping at edges and corners, water damage/stains, or major writing, or heavy ring-wear.
P = Poor. Not worth describing.
Shipping and Handling:
All LP's are securely packaged in a protective shipping mailer/box. The mailers are made of stiff cardboard and I've found them to be very reliable. In order to take advantage of the shipping discounts on multiple purchases, please pay for all items in one transaction. When calculating the shipping, please note a Double LP Set is considered two LP's, Boxed Collections are based on the # of discs in the collection.

Overseas- Ebay Global Shipping Program
Domestic/USA Customers - The normal/default shipping method is 'Media Mail' via the US Postal Service, since that's the method I've found most people choose. It is a little slower than Priority Mail, but cheaper and very reliable. The Post Office says delivery time is 3-9 days, though it's usually to you in less than a week.
