Description
Original Soundtrack LP to the 1971 film "Josie's Castle" on Mascot 51924 Stereo. Cover is in VG+ condition. (solid with no seam splits. some minor wear. looks very good overall) Record is in VG++ condition. (looks very clean. labels have some bubbling in them but have no spindle marks at all. record looks barely played !) This is a very rare private press soundtrack LP released in 1971. This is an excellent trippy hippie psych LP with some excellent psychedelic songs and even some funky wah wah guitar. The movie was originally called "The Grass Is Always Greener" but this was later changed to the commercially safer "Josie's Castle." There even is a sticker on the front cover to hide the original title, but the original title still is evident on the back cover. Marijuana references are quite evident on the LP and there even is a marijuana plant on the front cover, and one of the songs on the LP is called "Stoned" and it is a very trippy psych song. The movie also starred George Takei (from Star Trek fame) and he is pictured on the front cover looking quite groovy with his long hair and hippie threads. This LP rarely turns up anywhere and is rarely offered for sale. This copy was part of my father's collection and this is one of the gems in my father's collection of soundtrack LPs.

GRADING OF RECORDS
NEAR MINT – record is ‘like new” very clean with only possibly the most minor and superficial of marks.
VG++ record has only very minor surface marks and wear and is in excellent condition.
VG+ record shows some surface marks but the record is still in relatively good shape. no feel-able scratches
VG record shows a fair amount of wear. may have feel-able scratches
G record shows excessive wear.
