Description
An original 1st press of Clouds on the UK Reprise Steamboat label from 1969. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) in beautiful condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - and two minuscule marks which trigger a brief tick see below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of very slight deviations. Absolutely terrific audio from this early pressing. Difficult to imagine later pressings holding a candle to this rendition - the clarity is breathtaking. Intros and inbetweens are silent and interference is almost totally absent. The only vague issue are those two tiny marks in tracks two and three [on side 2]. They both trigger two brief ticks...and that's really all I can complain at. Barring these slight aberrations the remaining rendition is nigh on faultless.
Cover (Ex-) Lovely clean front without the usual surface wear which is common. There's a ding to the bottom left corner, but that's pretty much all I can pick up. The rear is borderline faultless. Edge wear is very light for this title. The spine is mostly intact and the text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
