Joni Mitchell Acetate Recording 10-inch 33-1/3 rpm circa 1966 Joni is on vocals and guitar, with David Rea on lead guitar; 1. Urge For Going, 2. Born To Take The Highway, 3. Circle Game, 4. Come To The Sunshine. This pressing was taken from a CBC reel-to-reel recording made August 17, 1966 for the film “Chansons”. Two songs on each side of the acetate. Owner will not take bids on this item.
The label has the Gandalf Publishing Co. name and address. Gandalf was owned by Chuck and Joni Mitchell.

"Acetates” were pressed by publishing companies for distribution to artists and/or recording companies only, not for public distribution. They play on a standard turntable but are not as durable as a vinyl LP. This acetate has some (typical) surface noise and should be handled carefully. It has two sides, with two songs on each side. and is one of two acetates of these songs known to exist. The seller recommends that the buyer make a CD copy to play rather than playing this acetate over and over.
