Up for grabs is this long deleted and now hard to find vinyl album by Jonesy. Entitled Growing, this was the third release by this prog-psych band whose members were:

• John Evan-Jones - guitars, vocals
• Jamie Kaleth - electric & acoustic pianos, mellotrons, lead vocals
• Alan Bown - electric trumpet, electric flugelhorn
• Gypsy Jones - electric bass, lead vocals
• Plug Thomas - drums, percussion

This is the original UK first pressing on the Dawn 'pink sunrise' label and pressed on translucent red vinyl. (This is black vinyl which becomes red and slightly transparent when held up to the sunlight - see the first two pictures below which were taken using a daylight bulb. It is caused by a seal which record companies added to the vinyl to help preserve it.) The LP is housed in the original unlaminated gatefold sleeve which makes reference to the lyric sheet. Unfortunately the lyric sheet is no longer present. The catalogue number is DNLS 3055 and the date of issue is 1973.

Condition

The vinyl is in Very Good condition.

The labels are in Very Good condition with clear, perfect printing but a few very light discolouration spots and some spindle marks.

The unlaminated gatefold cover is in Very Good Minus condition as it does have some wear and rubbing (see pics) but no tears. There is aslight sticker mark at the top corner by the spine and a name written on the orange part of the back cover (see pics). The spine is complete with some wear, mainly at the top and bottom but still has clear printing (see pics).

All my vinyl records are strictly graded according to Record Collector magazine's grading system. Please check my GRADING GUIDE to see a description of each grade. If any item has any writing, stickers, sticker marks, tears etc these will always be mentioned along with the grading. All records are sent in custom-made mailers, with stiffeners, and are packaged outside their sleeves to prevent edge splits.
