Description

Album Detail

Modern Lovers 88 is a studio album by American singer-songwriter Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers. Recorded and released in late 1987, it became Richman's final recording alongside a backing band credited as the Modern Lovers, an influential proto-punk band. After a period of frequent switches from one record company to another, he released Modern Lovers 88 through Rounder Records, where he remained until the mid-1990s.

Album Condition

The overall condition of this album is VG+, close to NM. The vinyl is clean, glossy and play-tested great. The cream-colored Rounder labels have no sign of spindle marks. The original plain paper insert is intact. There is some light shelf wear on the jacket and a tiny piece of tape on the back corner.

Seller Details

After collecting and listening to vinyl records for over 50 years, I started selling online during the pandemic. I enjoy searching for hidden gems in thrift shops and estate sales. I personally clean, inspect and test play each one before adding it to the inventory.

I ship using record mailers from Bags Unlimited, for several reasons. One, they are heavy duty and do a great job of protecting albums in transit. Two, their design helps alleviate corner denting. Third, they are easy to open, without damaging the vinyl. And my buyers appreciate it.

Thanks for shopping my store.
