This is an original BBC transcription LP with an approximately 60 minute live stereo concert by the godfather of r'n'b Johnny Otis and his Johnny Otis Show. (Johnny was the father of Shuggie Otis).
The disc looks and plays EX. It includes the original gold paper envelope, but there is no cue sheet. There is writing on the labels where the '77' in the expiry date was crossed out and '78' was written in blue ink pen.
Featured artists in the show include Big Daddy Rucker ( Knock On Wood, Lawdy Miss Clawdy), Marie Adams and the Three Tons of Joy ( Standing at the Crossroads, You Don't Have Go, Shake a Hand), Gene 'Mighty Flea' Connors (Preacher's Blues), Johnny Otis (Willie and the Hand Jive), Shuggie Otis (Me and My Woman - a monster guitar track!), The Otisettes (I Want to Take You Higher, Stand!, Shake), and more. Other band members are Clifford Solomon, Big Jim Wynn, Thomas Norwood, Willie 'Jitterbug' Webb, and Jimmy Smith Jr.
