Description
Johnny Hodges (with Lloyd Trotman, Shorty Baker, etc.) THE BLUES Norgran 1051, recorded early 1950s. Black-on yellow original deep groove trumpeter label. Disc is exquisitely clean for this vintage: plays NM-. Jacket also very strong: NM with about 60 degrees of faint ring-wear visible on white surfaces of reverse. Was pressed right to start with and has been treated right since then.
Here’s the eleventh of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well. Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence. Combined shipping available within reason. I realize these are about the worst photos ever; let me know if there's something you need to see but can't.
