Description
I'm at a lost to date this record. I suspect it is an early release. The album cover features the LP-1220 catalog number, which is an early Sun release. The record itself has the LP-1255 catalog number printed on the label. Other markings include Microgroove featured at the 3 o'clock position on the label. The blue background on the cover is slightly faded. There is no barcode or reference to a reprint label, like Sundazed. The early releases featured "SU-119" in the dead wax. This one has "SU-133" in the dead wax. If I had to take an educated guess, I'd date the record as an original Sun recording from the 1957-1961. But that's what it is, an educated guess. Why am I selling it? Possibly because the real early Johnny Cash stuff doesn't resonate with me. I'm more of a post-Folsom Prison fan. Thus, I'm selling it for what I paid for it--$20. But there is a real possibility it is worth four times that.
