Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison Columbia -- CS 9639

Original May, 1968 pressing of this essential, gauntlet-dropping outlaw country album, unopened and STILL SEALED in shrink wrap. The back cover shows just a hint of yellowing (from age) and there is a charming hole-punch through the title (refer to pictures) -- however the condition is otherwise tight and pristine, with sharp edges and no storage marks/stickers. The shrink wrap is completely intact and snug with the exception of the hole-punch, three microscopic factory air holes, and one small (5cm) tear in the plastic at the sleeve edge. No ring-wear or warping whatsoever. 

The mouth of the cover is sealed tight with absolutley no gaps between the upper and lower cardboard. 

According to Discogs, this is an original "Santa Maria" pressing from 1968 -- identifiable from the "S" mark located beneath Cash's signature, and no doubt sounds fantastic and pristine. No different from any other early '68 pressings, just produced specifically at Columbia's West Coast vinyl pressing plant in Santa Maria, California. Note, this is a LIVE recording of one of the most famous concerts in country (and rock) music history. Enjoy this with the full, rich experience of analog and know what it was like to be in a sweaty prison cafeteria with the Man in Black and his Nashville entorage!
