Description
This vintage 1957 10 inch shellac 78 RPM single features the foundational country recording Don't Make Me Go by American music icon Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two. Released on Sam Phillips's legendary Memphis, Tennessee based Sun Record Company under catalog number 266, this historic release captures the unmistakable boom-chicka-boom rhythm signature that defined early rockabilly and outlaw country music. Written entirely by Cash, the song highlights his deep baritone delivery supported by Marshall Grant's bass lines and Luther Perkins's sharp electric guitar licks. The single features the equally famous companion track Train of Love on the flip side. While this original Sun pressing displays clean label graphics and holds significant aesthetic appeal for wall displays or collection filler, it exhibits structural damage including a distinct two-inch crack extending through both sides and noticeable vintage storage residue across the groove surfaces.
