I’ve decided to list this because of its visual appearance rather than its sound.

I’ve held onto this for years because the labels so clean. There are spindle marks, but I have to hold it up to the light and tilt it a bit to see them. There are more marks on the “Walk” side than the “Rhythm” side. In my picture, you can see some of them in between the spindle hole and the “I Walk The Line” title.

The vinyl looks rather good. There is very light wear. The most visible is a ½ inch scratch at the beginning of Get Rhythm, but causes no “tick” or “pop” when played. I’ve played both sides and it sounds a bit distorted, like a heavy tone arm had been used, but then I compared it to another beat-up copy of this same 78 and it doesn’t sound much different. Maybe that’s how it is suppose to sound, since I am used to hearing these on 33’s and CD’s, I wouldn’t really know. So, I’ll let someone who has heard a mint copy of this 78 decide what the sound quality should be. Other than that, I would have to say that there is not a lot of surface noise here for a 78 RPM.
