Description

An original very 1st press from 1960 on the UK London label. Matrix 1B/1B. Stampers 1M/1BB - from the 1st mother! The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover. Also included is the original poly-lined inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In beautiful condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. By and large a super rendition. You can hear you're close to those original masters from 1960. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Little sign at all of interference until you're into final couple of tracks. I'm picking up just a touch of background from 'Corn Bread' through to the final track. Nothing invasive - background type stuff. And certainly nothing that's going to be distracting. A really fab player straight outta 1960.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Well, there can't be many around looking this darn sweet. The front looks superb. Totally flat, shiny, and unaged. All I can make out are a couple of tiny thumbnail creases. The rear is a total stunner - almost no signs at all of ageing. All flibacks are intact and secure. There's hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are till sharp! Not bad for 1960! The spine is fully intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. But no splits or markings.
