Only a reported 5,000 copies of this, John & Yoko's infamous first experimental recording, were pressed and possibly even less being actually sold.

This rare copy is a UK 1st STEREO pressing on the dark green Apple/Track Records label: 613012

Matrix numbers: SAPCOR 2 A-1 & SAPCOR 2 B-1

Stamper codes: 1/GR & 1/GA

Vinyl weight: 147g

Housed in a rare fully laminated 'Technink Ltd' printed MONO cover (i.e. with the text is on the front panel).

Complete with its original die-cut matt-black inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright pair with just a small collection of faint spindle marks around the side 2 centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surface are clean & glossy with just two small clouded areas near the run-in on side 1 (actually a common pressing blemish on this LP) but no other significant surface marks or wear in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible inner-sleeve removal marks on side 1 but no other visual marks. Both sides of this fine disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Play: EXCELLENT +

This copy has clearly been barely played and carefully played and the sound quality is clear and unworn throughout. Apart from a few faint swishes during the opening minute or so on side 1, there is little else to fault audibly.

Cover: EXCELLENT -

A very respectable example of this rare cover which retains despite some moderate age-toning to the paper is in excellent, unworn condition. All corners are free from any mjoar bumps or bruising and both opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering. Both seams and the un-worded spine are all smooth, unstressed & unsplit.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -

Clean & flat with some minor wear to the upper edge but no damage to the front window. There is a 6cm split to one seam but no other noticeable faults or wear.
