Rare Japanese 1977 edition of John Lennon/Yoko Ono's Wedding Album LP Boxed Set.  All inserts are complete and in near mint condition!

This rare boxed set from Japan has had only one owner since I bought it back in 1977.  Can you guess who that one owner is?  Yes, it's me.  You are correct.  I don't blame you for feeling good about yourself.

I will not lie to you: the OUTSIDE of the box is NOT in the best shape.  For one, you try keeping a crisp white box in pristine condition while moving around from house to house during your rowdy college years.  As you can see in the photos, the white cover has some lights stains and one corner looks like it went through a war zone.  Do I feel guilty about this?  Yes.  Taking care of my records was not always top priority during my party animal youth, I'll tell you what.  If I was a Catholic, I'd be in the Vinyl Confessional over it every Sunday.  Granted, this boxed set is over 30 years old so it COULD look better on the outside, but that's why I'm setting such a low bidding price.

However, the items INSIDE the box are in pristine NEAR MINT condition.  The reason for this: I bought this boxed set during my high school obsession with all things Yoko Ono (yes, I know that sounds weird but I was a battered child) and after playing the record once, I realized I would probably never again have the need to listen to 20 arty minutes of a heartbeat.  I simply closed the box and put it away, which means EVERYTHING INSIDE THE BOX is nearly UNTOUCHED.  All the pieces inside the box (see list below) are COMPLETE AND INTACT with NOTHING MISSING.  The LP itself was only played ONCE.

Notes:    The track "Amsterdam" was recorded during John & Yoko's first bed-in in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The heartbeats heard in the track "John & Yoko" are, indeed, John & Yoko's heartbeats, recorded on 22 April 1969 in Studio Two, EMI Studios, London. The recordings were later remixed into stereo and re-made.

• Copy of the wedding certificate, glued to the inside box lid

• Japanese OBI strip (it's been kept inside the box for the last 30-something years so, naturally, I had to fold it since is was not made to fit inside the box)

I'm selling this rare boxed set because my vinyl collection has grown out of hand.  Plus I'm trying to whittle away at my vast record collection so when I die in, oh, 40-something years, my survivors won't have a lot of junk to sort through.  Since I have no desire to listen to a heartbeat for 20 minutes ever again, I felt it was time it went to a crazed John Lennon/Yoko Ono/Beatles fan who could enjoy it for years to come.
