This is Apple Records (SMAX 3361), THE WEDDING ALBUM by John & Yoko. It is a stereo pressing in the box with all the impossible-to-find goodies that have slipped through your fingers over the years. It is in MINT condition! This beautiful box set was released 20 October, 1969, seven months after John Lennon and Yoko Ono tied the knot. Contains your very own slice of the wedding cake in a white Bagism bag, a book of international newspaper and press clippings depicting John & Yoko's many adventures, a photo strip of the happy couple, a Hair Peace/Bed Peace post card, 2 posters of photos and lithos, and the marriage certificate (attached to inner side of lid). The package was painstakingly assembled as a unique souvenir -- from one fan to another. The LP is SEALED in the original shrink-wrap showing breather holes front and back -- it features an entire side of John and Yoko each repeating the other's name for 23 minutes; side two offers snippets of interviews and conversations from their Bed-In in Amsterdam. Nothing like this had ever been done before and it was certainly controversial at the time. Because of the physical size of the box, many record stores passed on it and the charts reflected the public's uncertainty about a long-time pop icon embracing something as radical as the anit-war movement. History proved Lennon correct and courageous, a tragic hero and a great artist.
