Description
This auction is for a UK 1st Pressing LP of John Lennon & Yoko Ono's 2nd experimental LP of "sound art" "Unfinished Music No.2: Life With The Lions".
This is an original UK 1st Pressing with 1A/1B matrices and with printed inner sleeve.
This LP was the first release on the short-lived Apple subsid "Zapple" (the only other release being George Harrison's derided "Electronic Sound" - ZAPPLE02.) The concept of Zapple was that the LPs would be cheaper than normal releases so they could be listened to once then thrown away! Very few copies of this LP sold making it arguably rarer than "Unifinished Music No.1: Two Virgins".

Sleeve is a strong EX with some light feathering along the opening edge and minor bumps to corners of opening. Some very minor laminate lift is apparent in a few places. Lovely spine is solid and straight with clear wording. Sleeve shows the slightest of ringwear to the upper third on both sides (only really noticeable when reflected in light.) Printed inner sleeve is solid with no splits anywhere and some minor creasing where the LP sits - very strong EX+++. The labels are lovely, with some spindle traces (especially on Side 1) showing evidence of a handful of plays. There is a small white mark on both sides (see pics) - this may not be noticed unless you are looking for it! The vinyl itself has a beautiful sheen, with some hairlines here-and-there from play. There are 2 scratches on Side 2 (see pics, which make them look worse than they are!) but these play through fine on my turntable. Side 1 has a light "scratch" which, again, does not affect play on my turntable. I would grade the labels as Mint- and the vinyl (conservatively, due to the 2 visible scratches on Side 2) as EX-.
