Description
Original broadcast in 1975 this record is from the “What’s It All About” series.
This service allowed radio stations to broadcast small interviews to fill air time.
All interviews were “hosted” by Bill Huie who expertly handled narrative duties.
These interesting Lennon snippets range from early Beatles to his new “Rock and Roll” album and includes an ironic statement about being treated “so friendly” by people on the street that he’d pass by.
As this was pressed and broadcast during John’s solo recording period I’d say it has a certain value (not meaning monetary) in comparison to the countless releases that were thrown onto the market following his death.
Plays perfectly in near mint condition.
A small time capsule of John Lennon while he was still being John Lennon.
PS: The flip side features an interesting Marvin Hamlisch interview for all the Hamlisch fans.
Please do click to see my other offerings. I’ll be selling off an eclectic collection accrued over five decades. Some truly rare Beatles pressings as well as many other artists. Odd and unusual pressings that I’ll list as time allows. For your piece of mind please search and see my seller feedback under the eBay account I formally used for passing on my collection. Search - Bobsgoods - Some of the very best vinyl seller feedback on eBay can be found there (I’m proud to state). I’ll now be using this eBay account for all my listings to simplify things but will continue to make anyone who does me the honor of making a purchase completely satisfied and pleased with their items. I pack them as I like to receive them and make a great effort to point any flaws out rather than hiding them. I want nothing more than for us both to be completely happy with any transactions.
