Description
A rare and collectable 1st press Factory Sample copy of John Lennon's Imagine LP from 1971..... 1971 10 track LP complete with lyric inner sleeve, fold out poster & postcard. STICKERED TO CENTRE OF ONE SIDE "FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE" (as in handed out to a small number of trade insiders for demo purposes in advance of retail sale!) Fully laminated sleeve with pinched spine. Poster and postcard are mint. Sleeve and inner sleeve are near mint, although they have a small seam split to bottom centre which I believe is from storage over the last nearly 50 years! Minor deterioration to open edge of sleeve and to the inner lyric paper sleeve Vinyl if played at all, is mint, with no signs of scratching or deterioration. This is first press 1U 1U matrices, mastering by George Peckham. # The vinyl comes from ex retail stock, from a 1960's industry pro!
